Careers

We took a side.

We build for the investigators: the people who protect others from the worst of the internet, before anyone else, and without apology.

Why this exists

Online crime runs as networks now: groups spread across dozens of platforms, growing faster than agency headcount. The analysts up against them carry more cases than anyone can hold, on tools that were never built to talk to each other. Backlogs compound, and most harm comes to light after it is already done.

Azonic exists to close that gap: one platform that carries the investigation, so an analyst can keep up with a network. The analyst makes every call that matters. Everything we build serves that, and everyone we hire builds it.

The mission

Crime scales without limits.
Investigations do not.

Most software is built to sell more software. This is not that. Azonic is a small team building the intelligence platform a small number of agencies use to investigate the worst of what happens online. The work is technical, the standard is operator-grade, and the stakes are real. We hire very few people, we tell them the truth about the work, and we expect a great deal. If that reads as a warning rather than a pitch, you may be one of the few we are looking for.

Who we hire

Three kinds of people do well here.

01

Senior engineers

You have built systems at scale and run agent infrastructure in production. Here that work carries investigations, and the way the platform scales is shaped by the people who build it first.

02

Senior operators

You have done the work: agency, intelligence, or platform trust and safety. You work directly with the founders, shaping the product against real investigative workflows.

03

Early generalists

You are early in your career and unreasonably capable. You take on whatever the company needs, and you hold yourself to the same standard as the people around you.

What we look for

The bar is the same for every role.

Six things we hold every hire to, regardless of seniority or discipline.

01

Operator-grade craft

You take pride in the quality of the work. You finish things to a higher standard than the immediate problem requires.

02

Mission seriousness

You understand why this work matters, and you do not need to be reminded of it.

03

Discretion

You can hold information in confidence. You understand why that matters in this domain.

04

Direct judgment

You can make decisions, defend them, and change your mind when the evidence changes.

05

Independent capacity

You can run with limited oversight when the work is clear, and you ask for guidance when it is not.

06

Low ego

You care whether the work is right, not who was right. You take feedback straight and give it the same way.

Open roles

The work, as it stands.

Senior operators, especially ex-agency and ex-trust-and-safety, are welcome to write to us directly at careers@azonic.ai.
